Role of G.V. Plekhanov in defence and development of materialistic comprehension of history

The paper considers philosophical aspects of person existence in the jural state presented in the views of Russian thinker P.I. Novgorodtsev. The ways of development of the jural state have been analyzed. The conclusion about the aim of the jural state from the thinker's point of view – the moral development of a person – has been made.

G.V. Plekhanov and his theoretical and educational activity

Aspects of theoretical and educational activities of G.V. Plekhanov insufficiently highlighted in the scientific literature have been analyzed in the paper. Particular attention has been given to educational activity of the first Russian Marxist. The contribution of Plekhanov in propagation of Marxism in Russia has been shown; his role in formation of Menshevik and revisionist aspects of activity has been pointed out; topicality of some ideas of Plekhanov for understanding the current situation in Russia has been considered.
